Not sure those movies really have enough of the explotative elements to be called Blaxploiation, maybe, but maybe not. the Barbershop type movies are just "feelgood" movies with an African American outlook. While not my thing Barbershop to haveseemed positive to a point, certainly the "revolution waiting in the ghetto" feelings that blaxploitation originally had simmering beneath it as a genre no longer seems present. These modern movies seem more concerned with consumerist values than anything else...
